A Week of Balance, Exploration, and Community

Celebrating Well-Being, Inquiry, and Creativity in Grade 3

This week was an exciting and memorable one for our Grade 3 learners! On Monday, we enjoyed our annual Sports Day, followed by Cross Country with Upper Primary in the afternoon. The perfect weather, the joyful atmosphere, and the incredible enthusiasm of the students made both events truly special. Our learners demonstrated perseverance, teamwork, and a strong sense of being balanced. A big thank you to all parents for your wonderful support and active involvement throughout the day!

As we wrapped up our Unit of Inquiry, we explored different types of renewable and non-renewable energy. Using their research and thinking skills, the students worked in pairs to create informative posters. They organized their information, illustrated key concepts, and confidently presented their findings to the class. This was a great opportunity for them to show how they have grown as knowledgeable and communicative learners throughout this unit.

On Friday, we shifted into a festive spirit with our annual Christmas craft afternoon. The children designed and created beautiful holiday decorations, showing creativity, fine-motor skills, and a strong sense of joy within our learning community.

In Mathematics, we began our new topic: Multiplication. Students explored different strategies to understand multiplication conceptually, helping them build a strong foundation as thinkers and problem-solvers.

In Language, we worked on ordering information and facts. Students also listened to short audio texts and practiced identifying, organizing, and sequencing key ideas—an important skill for becoming effective communicators and thoughtful readers.

Overall, it was a week full of movement, inquiry, creativity, and celebration. We are very proud of everything the students accomplished!
