Grade 3 – Highlights from Our Week

This week in Grade 3 we have been working hard and learning many new things!

In our UOI, we created group posters about different body systems: the digestive system, the circulatory system, and the musculoskeletal system. Each group presented their poster to the class, and we added new questions to our Wonder Wall that we will explore in the coming weeks. We also reviewed the digestive system by drawing it again and discussing how the organs work together.

In English, we began our new unit about the Ancient Egyptians. We built our first set of vocabulary words, looked them up in the dictionary, practiced their pronunciation, explained the words in our own way, and finally used them in sentences.

In Math, we continued to practice numbers and sequences. We also had fun solving problems online using a learning program.

This week we also had our Library Lesson, and we were happy to welcome a very kind intern from Germany who is studying to become a primary school teacher.

Finally, we celebrated Karen’s birthday together. We sang for her and enjoyed the thoughtful gifts she had prepared for each of her classmates. Thank you, Karen, and happy birthday again! 🎉

It has been a busy and exciting week in Grade 3, and we are looking forward to more learning and fun next week!
