Grade 3 Weekly Learning Journey 🌍✨

This week, our Unit of Inquiry came to an exciting end! To consolidate our learning about the digestive, respiratory, and circulatory systems, the students participated in an online quiz supported by short videos. We also had thoughtful class discussions about healthy and unhealthy habits for the heart. The students showed their ability to be reflective thinkers, considering the consequences of lifestyle choices and identifying actions they can take to keep their bodies strong and healthy. They also demonstrated wonderful student agency by creating their own games and quizzes in groups. These activities allowed them to review, reflect, and consolidate their knowledge in a fun and interactive way. The creativity of the games was impressive, and everyone enjoyed trying out the different activities their classmates had designed.

In Mathematics, we continued to practice our understanding of time. The students worked hard to distinguish between a.m. and p.m., as well as to make clear connections between digital and analogue clocks. This required persistence and critical thinking, and it was wonderful to see their growing confidence.

In English Language, we explored the features of brochures. The students applied their learning by designing their very own brochures and presenting them to the class. From Paris to Korea and many other exciting places, their work reflected not only their creativity but also their ability to communicate ideas clearly.

A special highlight of the week was our trip to the Expo, where we visited the Singapore, Germany, and Czech pavilions. We were very fortunate to experience these without having to wait in long lines, which made the day even more enjoyable. This experience connected beautifully to our PYP focus on being open-minded and internationally minded learners.

We are also extremely proud to share that our class won First Prize in the Posture Skill Leaders competition (Autumn 2025). This is a fantastic achievement that shows our commitment to being balanced and taking care of our bodies. Congratulations, Grade 3! 🎉

Finally, we are all looking forward to celebrating the Oktoberfest at school tomorrow. What a wonderful way to end a busy and successful week of learning!
